In Panicale we met a man named Erik, on the street whom spoke
English. After talking with him, he informed us that his father has a local vineyard. He suggested
we come by and try some of their wine, BOSCHETTO. We went by & purchased only (2) bottles. WHAT A
SHAME! It turned out to be some of the best we have ever had.

The best Chianti we have found, is Ruffino. This was a gift from a
young couple we met while they were on their honeymoon. We shared a table with them in an overcrowded
hotel restaurant due to fog closure of Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, as they were coming from
Rome. This has a rich taste, but not overpowering. Excellent with Pasta.
